„It’s good to remember this is a castle for several reasons. The first being the heating system is antiquated. Second, wi-fi has dead spots and does not necessarily work in your room. Third, the castle caters to groups/weddings and some get quite loud. They are celebrating. With these things in mind it was a nice stay. “

„Very clean, warm and accommodating. Reception staff extremely helpful and obliging. Breakfast was included and offered many options, which served all our needs. The restaurant accommodated our dietary needs (though if would have been nice to not have to wait - perhaps a sign saying non-dairy and vegan options were available on request would help). Our mattress seemed quite old and lumpy, but other than that, the stay was excellent. “

„Absolutely loved this hotel to stay they had everything we needed and would return! Lovely location Food from the palm was stunning! And the bar staff made me cocktails that wasn’t on the menu! Only con was that a loud fan come on in the night and woke us up and on the tables near the pond from the bar is that they wasn’t maintained glasses weren’t maintained and bird poo/ cobwebs all over the tables. Just needed a quick clean! But overall was an amazing stay! “

„We stayed for my boyfriend’s birthday, our room was gorgeous with a four poster bed which was super comfy! The staff were all really friendly and it made such a difference. We had a Sunday roast and wine and a full English in the morning. We wish we’d booked to stay for more than one night was lovely to relax and unwind Beautiful hotel “

„Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer, das sehr geräumig war. Ein richtiges Restaurant gibt es nicht, nur für Imbiss (Sandwiches etc.) Ein sehr guter Inder ist ca 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Parken ist begrenzt, mehr Zimmer als Parkplätze.“

„I often stay here whilst working at Oulton Park. I have never had a problem with on site parking and always receive a warm welcome. Rooms are spacious and quiet with great beds. The Swan also serves great food.“

„Wenn Hotelgäste im Nebenzimmer keine Rücksicht nehmen (von 3 Uhr bis 5 Uhr morgens), dann nützt das ruhige Zimmer im Innenhof nicht! Das Personal war aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück könnte man verbessern. Für die Weiterreise nach Nord-Wales ist das Hotel an bester Lage (direkter Anschluss an einer Hauptstrasse). Es gibt auch ein Park-and-Ride nach Chester in der Nähe.“
