„I loved staying in this little cottage! The main house is close by but that didn’t detract from the peacefulness. It’s decorated super cutely, the bed was comfy and has everything you need for a stay close to the national park. Opening the big doors next to the bed makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest - surrounded by vegetation with birds chirping. “

„The highlight was seeing Kilaeua erupting. You have to check the USGS cam regularly cause it can start and stop any time. So amazing to just run up the road to see spouting lava. Be sure to read the old guestbook entries they go back a hundred years.”It’s prettier here than Indiana.” HA! The wood stove was a life saver cause it can get chilly but what’s better than a cup of coffe and a wood fire? Love this place“

„I just loved how peaceful and quiet this place was. Listening to the birds and the rain was healing for the soul. The cottage is separated from nearby cottages by a few yards of rainforest, very private and cozy yet functional. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to spend a day or two exploring the Kīlauea volcano and surrounding areas. Not a lot nearby in terms of restaurants, and the few that are there are very pricey - recommend grabbing groceries on the way there and ...

„This cottage felt super luxurious with all the amenities and the ultra comfy bed. We had a wonderful time, ready loved the hot tub after a long day at Kilauea, the gardens were beautiful and lush. I especially loved the 'alala themeing of the property, it is what attracted my attention in the first place. Mahalo nui loa!“

„Having never stayed in a Yurt of grid i was Amazed at how nice it was. I followed the rule of laundry during the day and had no issues. I titled this country because of the chickens and dogs, if you want a quite nights rest this isn't for you. If you are used to dogs barking and roasters crowingfrom 3am on then you'll be fine. „We really enjoyed our stay in the Maid's Quarters. The apartment is very comfortable and lovely, with antique furniture and objects that reflect the history of the property and neighborhood. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen (sharp knives and a Viking range and oven, both unusual in a rental). The hosts were responsive and welcoming. We loved soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of hiking. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.“
