„Very very conveniently located! It's about ten minutes from Volcanoes National Park, and not too far from other areas of interest as well. We visited from Kona so the difference in climate was extremely refreshing. Love the consideration placed in the small things too, like heated blankets and individual space heaters. It does get a little chilly in the evening at that altitude but I love the cooler nights. Thanks for the opportunity to stay!“

„We had a fantastic stay! The house is perfectly equipped and has lots of space in and around it. Nothing to complain about. We enjoyed the silence and beautiful garden after our stay in Waikiki and our kids loved to play with the cat Mango, which lives outdoor. 100% recommendation.“

„We entered the place with both grandparents and kids, 8 people in total. The 4 nights were absolutely too short to enjoy everything but the time we had was great. The house itself is very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. The view is amazing! Hilo as city is fantastic and the volcano park is a must to go. We did barbecue and enjoyed the house. Thanks to the parents of Robin for your hospitality and the nice coffee and cookies. Mahalo!“

„This is a 10 stay. The house is in a lush gardenic setting in a very quiet neighborhood. Christine was an excellent host and saw to our every need. The house was immaculately, clean with a beautiful upstairs balcony overlooking our lush yard. A wonderful place to have your morning cup of coffee. We stayed a few different places before reaching Christine‘s house, we were so pleased with her place that we canceled reservations elsewhere in order to stay at the lava house. „We loved our stay at the Hawaiian Breeze House and wish our visit would have been longer! The house is very charming and well equipped, the location is beautiful and quiet (except for the roosters). Our stay on the east side of the island couldn’t have been better. Thank you! “

„We traveled with our adult kids so we really enjoyed the space to spread out. This home is very nice. The beds were comfortable and even though we didn’t cook, the kitchen was very well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.“

„The property is located in a nice residential neighborhood 10 minutes from downtown Hilo and 45 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. The yard is a botanical garden. This is a “smart house” with a lot of the current technology.“

„This house was our perfect getaway! Amazing views, clean, quiet and the kitchen had everything and then some! Garage was full of beach chairs, umbrellas and snorkeling gear! Would come here again in a heartbeat! “

„We loved this location, so near the national park as well as restaurants in Volcano. The atmosphere around the house was also amazing. So many plants that we never see on the mainland where we live. We did have one small problem which was attended to right away. I both recommend this and would come here again if I ever travel to Hawai'i again.“

„We came to explore the island trails (hiking and snorkeling) and did much driving (1 to 2.5 hours each way a day) and hiking so our time at the rental was limited to sleeping and eating, showering, doing laundry (a fantastic outdoor sink to clean gear) and using the WiFi (great signal). Everything worked well for our needs. We appreciated the owner’s response time to one of our requests and their generosity in supplying masks, snorkels, chairs etc for our water time explorations. „Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Tolles Haus mit allem was man braucht. Zuerst mussten wir uns an die nächtlichen Geräusche der Frösche gewöhnen. Auch hatten wir die Kälte in der Nacht unterschätzt. Jedoch konnten wir mit dem Ofen im Wohnzimmer dem rasch Abhilfe schaffen. Die Infos, die wir vorab von Matt erhielten, waren sehr hilfreich. Danke!“

„We had a lovely stay! The garden is perfectly serene and secluded. Everything was clean. The outdoor shower is AMAZING. The check-in process was extremely easy, though we did have to reach out to the host to confirm the process. We would have loved sheets on the bed in addition to the blankets. All in all, an absolutely wonderful stay. “

„Our family truly enjoyed living in this unique bungalow! Although not far from Hilo, it is very secluded and offers a unique feeling of living right in the rainforest. We loved the open screened space and all the sounds of the forest. The bungalow is very comfortable, clean and equipped with various amenities. "On the first look the room was clean and it looked quite nice but the floor was not really clean and the blanket I had to sleep on had a few stains on it. Also my neighbours threw a big party in the next room and were really loud with a lots of people and they also stole a car. And if theres no party you hear everything your neighbours do and I mean „everything“. The wifi in my room was also non existent. But on the good side the room had some free snacks and it‘s located in a Beautiful spots and the most people living there are nice. Apart from the stains on the blanket and the crumps on the floor the room was clean and I‘m sure it was just bad timing that the party was during my stay. For eating there you have to buy yourself something or order delivery which is ultra expensive there. "

"Die Unterkunft ist wie man sich ein typisch hawaiianisches Hotel vorstellt. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr sauber. So wie wir gesehen haben, renovieren sie laufend Zimmer. Sehr schöner wilder Garten, in welchem man sich gerne aufhält. Sehr freundliches Personal. Einfaches Frühstück. Obwohl es ein Nichtraucherhotel ist, hat es ein Plätzchen im Garten wo geraucht werden darf. "
