A Pleasant stay away from the tourist district
This VRBO is located in a quiet, middle class neighborhood, which is exactly what I'd hoped for. We accessed the downtown area easily via bus or taxi. Also within reasonable distance of grocery shopping, and within walking distance to a convenience store, local restaurants pharmacies, a fresh vegetable/fruit market.
My taxi driver had difficulty locating the house, so I spent the 1st night in a locally owned, reasonably priced hotel downtown. My travel partners arrived on later dates and didn't have a problem getting there. Casa Catalina is nicely furnished, and had most things needed for a longer stay. More than adequate supplies to cook.
1 suggestion would be a microwave, if possible. There is a handy washer/dryer combo to use.
3 bicycles, 1 lock and an air pump for tires.
Once settled in, we really enjoyed our stay.
I sincerely apologize to the host for not finishing the washing of dishes. My taxi driver arrived, and I had to leave to make it to the airport on time.
I would like to visit Puerto Morelos in the future for a longer stay, and will consider Casa Catalina as an option.
