„As a family of four with 2 teens and a big dog, it's difficult to find somewhere not over priced and a big enough space for us all. We stayed in a very spacious family room. Bathroom had a big drench shower and heated towel rail. Plenty of space for our dog's big bed! Ben and the other staff were very friendly and attentive, also accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included and fantastic choice. We ate at the pub on the second night and the food really was fantastic and a good varied menu. ...

„Lovely cottage with super comfy beds. The hot tub was great. Only downside was the kitchen layout as the sink was the other side of the huge island making it a bit of a hassle when cooking. The main oven did not work and we had to buy a frying pan as there wasn’t one. We also couldn’t get the TV to work in one of the bedrooms. I would also suggest that the chesterfield settee needs either reupholstering or replacing as it was so uncomfortable.“

The house suffers from damp - and given the bogginess of the terrain and changeable weather that's not surprising - and we were glad we thought to bring our own fuel for the two log burners.
