Good location but poor communication and unresolved maintenance issues
Location, view and neighborhood are all good.Check in awkward. Vacasa provided code for lockbox on unit door but not for building entrance door. Cleaning staff person noticed us after 10 minutes and let us in. Unit entry door out of alignment and scrapes floor when opened and makes loud scraping noise in order to enter. A very unexpected issue in a well located condo. Vacasa sent local staff who looked at the door and explained that it would be fixed after we left. A ridiculous response. There were multiple light bulbs burned out in each of two bathrooms, leaving them dim and depressing. We again repeatedly complained to Vacasa and local staff who told us the bulbs were an unusual type not readily available and that they would be replaced after we left. Again, ridiculous. For the entirety of our 17 day stay we had inadequate hot water in the unit. The water took 3 minutes at least to warm up and then produced 1-5 minutes of hot water before turning cold. For a shower the average was about 2-3 minutes of hot water. We were forced to take 2-3 minute showers. We notified Vacasa daily about this issue and despite assurances they were concerned nothing was done to correct it. A local staff person told us the hot water heater was too small for the unit but said nothing could be done unless the owner was willing to replace it. Both bathrooms also had a sour sewer-like odor. Unpleasant. Bottom line, this was the worst experience in 15 years of rentinUnit needs a deep clean.
